The State of the Nation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo – For every Filipino must find the approval of this position

State President's Office, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo DURING THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE 14th Congress second OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES July 28, 2008

Thank you, President Nograles. Senate President Villar. The senators and representatives. Vice President de Castro, President Ramos, Chief Justice Puno, members of the diplomatic corps Ladies and Gentlemen:

I address you today at a crucial moment in world history.

Just months ago, which finished 2007 with the largest economic growth in a generation. Inflation was low, the peso strong and a million new jobs were created. We were all looking for a better future and more brilliant. Due to the difficult decisions that have been done, na ang bayan kumikilos Wakas SA. Tayo na ng SA pagbalanse Malapa healthy budget. We were on retirement of debt large quantities, which reduces drag our country's development, habang SA namumuhunan taonga Bayan. Biglang-Bigla, nabaligtad ekonomiya ng ang Mundo. Ang Presy pagtalon ng Langis ay ng pagkain at ng krisis nagbunsod pandaigdigan, the worst since the Great Depression and the end of World War II. Some blame speculators moving billions of dollars Mortgage risk of commodities like food and fuel. Other points in the real rise in demand as millions of Chinese and Indians move to the middle class.

Whatever the reasons, we're on a roller coaster of oil prices, high food prices and the threat of economic recession in the U.S. and other markets. The uncertainty is gone like a terrible tsunami in the world, wiping away gains, erasing progress.

This is a complex that defies time simple solutions and easy. First, it is hard to identify villains, unlike the 1997 financial crisis. Everyone seems to be a victim, rich countries and poor but it can certainly have more pain than others.

To address these global challenges, we must continue building and buttressing bridges to allies around the world to put in the rice to feed our people, investments to create jobs and keep the peace and maintain stability in our country and around the world. However, while reach out to the needy, and we can, we strive for greater autonomy.

Because of the difficult decisions were made, the global crisis does not Catch us helpless and unprepared. Through foresight, grit and determination policy, we built a shield around our country that has slowed down a bit softened the worst effects of global crisis. We have the money to take care of our people and pay for food when there are shortages of fuel despite price spikes.

Neither we nor anyone else in the world should this day would come so soon, but we are ready. For the courage not to shrink from difficult decisions, thank God. Because the wisdom to recognize how needed, thank you, that Congress. To pay the bill, I thank the taxpayers.

The result has been a First Instead, Ito ang bayan nakasalba SA, and secondly, more unpopularity for myself in the polls. But even with polls showing hostile poverty through self-assessment his 20-year low in 2007. My responsibility as President is to take care of solving the problems we face today and provide vision and direction of how our nation should advance in the future.

Many in this great hall live privileged lives and exert great influence in public affairs. I am accessible to you, but I spend time each day with the most disadvantaged and underrepresented that can not be a control over their lives from day to day, all consumers are struggling to earn a living.

Ako nag-PASS aalala its Naka-na ang maybahay Aawangen pananagutan its Buong pamilya. NASA ako ng nag-produksyon aalala its Unangan magsasakang Hanay pakanin pambansang pagkain ng pamilya ang nagsisikap Nguni. Ako nag-aalala for his 41 years, father of Araw Araw na Ang pamilya na trabaho di-SA-Asawa at Nag aabala to tatlong Anak ng higit pang pagkakakitaan bigy DAPA Dangal. I worry about teachers which gave the greatest gift we have received – a good education – still trying to pass the same gift to future generations. I worry about our TPE, known for their competence, integrity and untiring labor, who send home their pay as the only way to touch loved ones so far. Ako ngayon Nagpupugay kanilang MGA karaniwang the Philippines.

My reviews say that this is fiction, as well as other facts and figures I cite today. I call it heroism if you do not need our praise. Each is already a hero to those who matter most to their families. I said it is a global crisis where everyone is a victim. But only a few can afford afford to avoid, or pay late, the worst effects.

Many others have nothing to protect against blunt trauma immediate implementation of the global crisis. Tulad ninya, Ako Nag aalala his Kanilai. Ito ang Bayan Natin MGA taonga na Samahan DAPA. Not only for their sacrifices for our country, but because they are our compatriots. How can we address these many complex challenges?

Your kanilang kalagayan, the answer must be special care and attention in this great hour of need.
First, should have a defined strategy with a set of precise prescriptions to ease price challenges we are facing.

Second, food self-sufficiency, less dependence on energy, greater self-reliance in our attitude as a people and our position as a nation.

Third on the other hand, the short-term relief can not undermine long-term reforms. These reforms will not only benefit the next generation of Filipinos, but the next president as well.

Despite having some comfort that our situation is better than many other countries, there is no substitute for solving the problem of rice and fuel here at home. To do this, let's be honest and lucid – has produced a fundamental change in the global economy. The price of food and fuel prices remain high. Nothing will be easy, because the government can not solve these problems overnight. But we can work to relieve pain in the short term while investing long-term solutions.

Since 2001, new irrigation systems 146,000 hectares, including Malmer Maguindanao and North Cotabato, Lower Agusan, Casecnan and Aulus in Nueva Ecija, Abulog Apayao in Cagayan and Apayao, Quirino and Isabela Addalam, among others, and restoration of old systems on another 980,000 hectares increase in irrigated lands in Spain to 1.5 million hectares of history.

The Land Bank has quadrupled loans for farmers and fishermen. It is a fiction. See for yourself. For more efficient use of credit, I instructed DA to revitalize farmers cooperatives. We are providing seeds at subsidized prices to help our growers.

Incremental Malampaya national revenues of P4 million will go to our rice self-sufficiency program. The Rice production has increased since 2000 an average of 4.07% annually, twice the rate of population growth. By promoting natural planning methods and female education, we have reduced population growth to 2.04% during our administration, down from the 2, 36 in the 1990s, when control artificial birth has been pushed. Our campaign spreads awareness of responsible parenthood regarding birth spacing. Long years of pushing Synonymous with family planning contraceptives. Therefore, the choice does not mean letting more couples, who are mostly Catholics, in planning natural family.

From 1978 to 1981, nag-export ng Bigas Tayo. Hindi tumagal. But do not be too hard for us. Tayo na ng Panahon PA Labas ng Bigas bumibili Kastil SA. Same if we know how to grow rice, and the topography does not always cooperate.

Nature did not gift us with a mighty Mekong like Thailand and Vietnam, with its vast fertile plains and naturally. Nature and not put our islands ahead of our neighbors in the path of typhoons in the Pacific. Thus, imports 10% of the rice we consume.

To meet the challenge of today, we feed our population today, at the latest, and help in these times difficult. To meet the challenges of tomorrow, we must be more autonomous, self-sufficient and independent, relying on ourselves in the world.

Now we the future of agrarian reform. Some say it's a failure, that our rice imports to prove it. Some say it is a success-if only because any thing is better than nothing. In fact, people are happier landowners to work, whatever the difficulties.

Are there tax assumptions for bakery products?

Well, my mother bought bread from a bakery in Las Vegas. The location is just a bakery, this type of service (servers, tables, etc.).. When my mother bought iteslf bread bakery, the money charged on a total of $ 4.30 (w-tax price original or is $ 4.00, tax in Las Vegas is about 7.25%). My mother does not understand English very well, but he managed to ask why. The cashier said that because the tax burden of government, while in case back. other bakeries not pay taxes for their products. Does this support the cash right this tax? If not, where I can file a complaint "against the bakery? here's the address: Provence fresh bakery oven Mountian Spring 5115 suitable way. # 225 Las Vegas, NV 89 146 (702) 341 0168

OK, I'm not a tax expert definitelly, but I bought the bread from the bakery on the street today work. The price was $ 2 and I paid $ 2, and I do not see why they should collect the tax, it is a food product. I mean, do not pay tax on the bread shop grocery, and as you said, the bakery does not offer a service, then best case, the cashier does not know what does, or if you know who is taking a toll on people.
