Custom Publix Bakery Cake?

I’ve ordered a custom cake from the Publix bakery. I’m picking it up Saturday morning. I’ve ordered a custom cake from them before but they didn’t do it how I asked. I didn’t complain or anything then, I just took it since it was similar to how it was supposed to be.

I’m worried that they will mess up again. If they do, do you think that they will remake it for free and have it ready the same day?

If anyone has any previous experience with the Publix bakery and can help I would really appreciate it.

The day before Father’s day, huh? They will probably be completely overrun with orders and be on the verge of a nervous breakdown, this same thing happens to the cake decorators in my bakery every holiday. Everyone learns to hate holidays, your workload goes up by 50%, yet they whine if you get overtime. Your only option is to drink Red Bull by the gallon and just get the extra work done in the same amount of time. I’m glad I’m a baker, and only some of my holidays are bad(like the popular holidays for grilling, where they put 8-packs of French Hamburger buns on sale, and I have to make like 50 million of them).

Anyway, Publix is really supposed to pride themselves on giving the customers what they want, so they really should be making an effort to get your cake right. I would say the last time was probably a fluke. On a slow day I’m sure they would redo it for free and have it ready quickly, they wouldn’t even be *that* angry. As for whether they would redo it on a holiday the same day for free, I’m not sure what the official policy is, I’m not a decorator, but I think it would actually come down to the manager. Of course, it seems like the bigger b**** the customer is, the more likely they are to get their way. I’ve seen a girl throw a princess castle cake together in record time after a customer wouldn’t accept the one she made. Turns out, she only wanted the cake for free, she even tried to convince the store manager to give her the “messed up” cake for free. She went out to her car to get something, and never returned to pick up the “fixed” cake.

Where I can get the best carrot cake in Philadelphia?

It would also be nice if you are a bakery and not controls Custom / drawings. Thanks! Note, I live in DC and work in DC do not need a car. This also means I have to find things that are reasonably Transit me. Thanks!

For the best carrot cake in the Philadelphia region – hands down – see the man carrot cake in the bakery market D'Innocenzo farmer from Lancaster (on RT 30 in Wayne.). Man is a local legend, made carrot cake and carrot cake, and a variety of combinations of fruits carrots, apple, blueberry, banana, pineapple, and (my favorite) fishing. The Farmer's Market is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and there are * always * Samples available carrot cake. It's wet and soft, and delicious. The telephone hotline is 610-687-6580 Innocent, I do not know if they take the custom control for the carrot cake, but it's worth asking. I lived a mile or two from there, and I would buy a carrot cake from them whenever I'm (and all who have tried has insisted he is the best carrot cake ever had). *** EDIT: The market is among the stations and R5 Strafford Wayne, about half a foot two miles. As for the bakeries in the city itself, I am part of Rose Pastry Shop 4 and Bainbridge in Queen Village, I can not vouch for their cake carrot.

please help me id really appreciate?

hey if I'm planning my quinceanera and I want something sophisticated and fun. is important that the atmosphere dissolves any inconvenience to customers [children of different gangs come]. I rented a stretch Hummer limousine for 5 hours, enter in the city and a dinner [in bosotn] with 15 other children. but then what? I was thinking maybe go to a separate … such as a bakery for dessert. but I have four hours, the big city and nothing to do! will be very cold .. So there is no picnic. Most concerts are reserved … the rest are events Christmas (not a ooption) … that's our image as well. I have to send out invitations tomorrow! I can not decide what to doo … please help me: (

You do not says big city (Boston?) You go and how long will it take to make every driver or if they all meet somewhere and how long will it take to get there to eat. Then the time it takes before leaving the place to eat. How much time to spare to get to another destination to enjoy a few hours and then everyone falls into. 15 people is a large order and 4 hours? is what happened with the limo. I've never been bosotn? I do not know what is happening there.

I’m from canada bc. i want 2 go to school to open up a bakery for wedding cakes etc but how do I start?

I was thinking about The Art Institute or Vancouver Community College but what is the tuition for either school. I would have to start from the beginning like level one is there anyone out there that is either pursuing the same goal is already in the business?

What you do is your choice, but do your research!

If its one of the Art Institutes run by EDMC, avoid them like a plague. They’re open enrollment, they take ANYONE. Their “helpful” enrollment advisers, are just sales people. They spend more money trying to lure people in than educating them.

If you ask me, they’re an elaborate corporate scam to funnel as many
Government Pell grants and guaranteed loans out of students as they
can and leave the students with the bill.

They’re like McDonald’s of Art “Colleges”. They’re a chain that is
popping up everywhere. They buy out dying schools, rename them, keep
the accreditation.

They may seem like they would be good, but it is all smoke and
mirrors. Pretty building with pretty computers. Meanwhile, it will
just ruin your life.

The market demand they say they’re meeting is not the demand of the
Job market, its the demand of the students. Students that graduated AI
are struggling to get jobs and have over more than $50,000+ or
$90,000+ in debt depending on what degree they went for. Degrees that
are worthless in the job market. They roll out programs that just
catch the eye of what is hot in the students mind. There is no value
in the job market. You will LITERALLY be a starving artist if you go
through their programs. Their advertising hints at success/fame, but
its just debt and nothing but debt.

Their top employers are retail outlets and contract jobs that do not last long enough to pay
for the loans you incur. http://www.artinstitutes.edu/career-services/top-employers.aspx They’re counting jobs that aren’t related to
the field. Their job leads are bogus, they go to Monster, Craigslist,
and career builder just like everyone else. Their top employer is HOME
DEPOT (Check their own website) and I guarantee none of those are art
jobs. If they are legit, it’s funny, they haven’t changed their “top employers” since before 2005. In this changing economy that alone should seem fishy.

Basically, AI is a degree mill. They use bloated success stats and
circle logic to back them up.

They count students working at Toys R Us as in the field. Avoid them
if you want to actually have a decent future.

If you really want to pursue your passion, go to a community college,
study fine art, and then transfer into a state school. It will be
cheaper and the money you save you can buy your own equipment and
STILL have money left over for a better future.

Don’t make the same mistake my friends and I did. We’ll be paying for
it for the rest of our lives.

If you go with AI you’ll be folding clothes at Target or hawking video
games at Toys R Us or some other unrelated field for $8.25 an hour and
struggling to pay $90,000 with bill collectors haunting your every
waking moment with no way to stop them because there is no bankruptcy
protection on Student loans.

You will be trapped for the rest of your life in debt that has no
consumer protections and ruin any and all chances at a normal
productive future. The only students you will see defending these schools are CURRENT students that are under deferment that don’t know how much they’re paying/they will be stuck with and how the job market really is for artists. You will not see many past students defending AI.
